Accessibility
Ben's Virtues is designed so everyone can follow Benjamin Franklin's thirteen-virtue chart. The app works with the accessibility features built into iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and Android.
Supported features on iPhone and iPad
- VoiceOver Chart cells, virtue names, settings, and navigation include accessibility labels so screen reader users can review and mark their chart.
- Voice Control Navigate tabs, settings, and the virtue chart using spoken commands supported by iOS and iPadOS.
- Larger Text The app responds to Dynamic Type so you can read virtue names, instructions, and settings more comfortably.
- Dark Interface Ben's Virtues follows your device's light or dark appearance.
- Differentiate Without Color Alone The chart uses text labels and layout cues in addition to color, including clear marking of today's column and transgression entries.
- Sufficient Contrast Text, chart labels, and interface elements maintain readable contrast in both light and dark appearances.
- Reduced Motion The app respects the system Reduce Motion setting and avoids unnecessary animation when that preference is on.
Apple Watch The watch companion displays the current week's virtue on supported complications and in the watch app.
Languages The app is localized in English, Spanish, French, and Russian.
